AUNT AGATHA'S ANGRY

By Josie Whitehead

Aunt Agatha’s angry - she’s laddered her tights.

Black socks in the washing have coloured her whites,

And a velvety mole has dug up her lawn.

No wonder her face looks haggard and drawn.

Aunt Agatha’s angry - her saucepan’s boiled dry -

And clean it?  Oh goodness, she won’t even try.

She tripped on the carpet and fell on the cat

And the food on her dish hit the wall with a splat.

Aunt Agatha’s angry?  No, not any more.

Her boyfriend’s arrived and knocked on her door.

With a big bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine,

Her day’s getting better!  She’s now feeling fine!
