MISS ROSIE ROSE

(A shadow poem of Daffodowndilly
by A A Milne)

By Josie Whitehead

Miss Rosie Rose

Dressed in her rose-red ballroom gown

      And leaves of purest green,

She smiled up at the summer sun

Who looked down at the scene.

She called out to a passing cloud

      And Rosie surely asked:

‘Do you think Spring has gone away

      And Summer’s here at last?
