Old Santa’s a man who is timid,

     And, shy, he likes working at night.

If you caught him, as he does his business,

     I know you would give him a fright.

 

Old Santa is bashful and nervous.

     His work’s done when you are in bed

And the thought that perhaps you might see him,

     Is a thought that would fill him with dread.

 

Old Santa is rather a loner:

     Oh come now, you must understand,

But he’s booked on a course very shortly,

     And *assertiveness training is planned.

 

Instead of just creeping at night-time,

     You’ll see him about in the day.

Pay attention to folk in the streets more,

     For you’ll probably spot him, I’d say.
