"An Easter egg was heard to say

Upon a lovely springtime day:"

"I hate all children – girls and boys –

They’re greedy and make too much noise."

"Two other Easter eggs proclaimed:"

"And none of them will feel ashamed

By hunting for us – every one,"

"And gobbling us, to them, is fun!"

‘"Those greedy kids don’t care at all

For us, who are, to them, quite small."

"We hope, especially for our sake,

That all of them get tummy ache!"

(Oh dear!  It's not true so
come on children . . . smile.)
