JOSIE'S POEMS
Limericks and Rhyming Games
By Josie Whitehead

ARE YOU GOOD AT RHYMING?
(Correct the wrong rhymes)
(Limericks)
By Josie Whitehead
A stupid old woman from Bath
Said: ‘Today I won’t tread on the pavement,’
So she walked on the road
And she trod on a frog -
And it was then that she started to laugh.
A man with a long, pointed nose
Said, I’m sure that you all will agree
That we all should sleep more
And should try not to dream.
Was he right? Ah well - nobody knows!.
Though this poem’s a terrible mess
I can rhyme as I’m sure you will know
But, what about you -
Well, can you rhyme also?
I’m quite sure that you’re all shouting 'yes'.

Answers:
(1) – 1 -Bath – path 2 – road – toad
(2) – 1 - nose – suppose 2 – more - snore
