JOSIE'S POEMS
By Josie Whitehead
'Chomp, chomp, chomp,'
Said the striped caterpillar
As he chomped on his tasty green leaf,
But the gardener said: ‘No. Those leaves are mine!
Go away, you awful green thief.’
'Chomp, chomp, chomp,'
Said the hungry black slug
As he chomped on his tasty green leaf,
But the gardener said: ‘No. Those leaves are mine!
Go away, you awful black thief.’
'Chomp, chomp, chomp,'
Said the greedy greenfly
As he chomped on his tasty green leaf,
But the gardener said: ‘No. Those leaves are mine!
Go away you awful green thief.’
'Chomp, chomp, chomp,'
Said the small ladybird
As she chomped on all of these pests
And the gardener said: ‘Yes and thank you my friend
Of all minibeasts, you are the best!!’
