THE ELEPHANT'S CHRISTMAS PARTY

By Josie Whitehead

Elephant's Christmas Party (The)

Fiddledy-dee, Fiddledy-dee -

We're as happy as happy can be:

The cat and the dog are going to be

     Guests at the elephant’s party.

Fiddledy-dee, Fiddledy-dee -

The mouse, the toad and little fairy.

They've been invited, yes, all three,

     Guests at the elephant’s party.

Fiddledy-dee, Fiddledy-dee -

Said the bear to the fox: 'Surely we

Can arrive on time at half past three -

    Guests at the elephant's party.'

Fiddledy-dee, Fiddledy-dee -

The hen, her chicks and the fiddlers three,

And not forgetting the bumblebee -

     Guests at the elephant's party.

Oh, what a wonderful day it’ll be.

Wouldn’t you like to look and see

All the things they’ll have for tea? -

   Guests at the elephant's party.
