Flower Poems

FUCHSIAS -
BALLERINAS OF THE FLOWER WORLD

By Josie Whitehead
Fuchsias - Ballerinas of the Flower Worl
Bright fuchsias, dressed in showy robes,
Display with pride their flowers.
Draped petals falling from their branch
Grace well the sunlit hours.

Sweet ballerinas poised for dance,
They hang their pretty heads,
And, clothed in colours quite supreme,
Adorn the flower beds.

These lady’s skirts, with hues sublime,
Dismiss the wind and rain.
They’ll bloom superbly summer-long
And next year come again.
