I read that laughter heals your hurts 
    But I don’t think that’s true 
For when I tripped and broke my leg,
   I didn’t laugh – would you?

I read that laughter puts things right:
    I know that isn’t true:
If I come bottom in my class,
    I won’t tell Dad – will you?     

​

I laughed when you fell in the pond.
    Well, what else could I do?
You floundered in the mud and wet,
     Whilst I just laughed at you.

​

I laughed and laughed another day 
    When we went to the zoo.
Remember that orangutan?
     He looked so much like you!!!
