Little Susie Spider,
    Hanging from her thread:
"Come and see what I’ve made,"
      Susie proudly said.

"Please admire my silken web, 
    So beautiful and strong.
I’m hoping that a tasty fly
    Soon will come along.

"The fabric of my little web,
    Is just as strong as steel.
It’s certainly the perfect thing 
    To catch a tasty meal.

​

"I’m not unlike you humans 
     When you net a tasty fish,
But I much prefer small insects 
     To be upon my dish."
