LOTS OF BABY DUCKLINGS

By Josie Whitehead

Lots of Baby Ducklings

Lots of baby ducklings
    Tapping on their eggs:
Out came some little heads
     Followed by some legs.

Lots of baby ducklings
     Looked at the world outside:
'It’s much too big for us,' they said,
And off they ran to hide.

Lots of baby ducklings
     Soon came back again:
And when you saw them on the lake,
Well it was very plain -

That they’d decided that the world
Was just the place to be,

And sunflower seeds we threw for them
     They gobbled for their tea.
