On Monday there were seven rosy apples

     Sitting on a tree:

One fell off and Blackbird said:

     “This one is meant for me”.

 

On Tuesday there were six rosy apples

     Sitting on a tree:

A magpie came and stabbed at one:

     “This one is meant for me.”

 

On Wednesday there were five rosy apples

     Sitting on a tree:

A little girl came to the tree:

     “This one is meant for me.”

 

On Thursday there were four rosy apples

     Sitting on a tree:

A little boy came to the tree:

     “This one is meant for me.”

 

On Friday there were three rosy apples

     Sitting on a tree:

The apples said:  “Well, who wants us?”

     And a woman picked all three.
