To my Grannies and Granddads:

 

If only I could

 

. . .  be with you forever to love and to care;

Have time with you always in which I could share

     Your talking, your teasing, your joy and your fun

     And always be with you to know what you’ve done.

 

I’ll never forget the days that we’ve had

And, with joy in my heart, I’ll try to be glad –

      And when I am a mother, I’ll tell my family too

      Of the love in my heart that’s forever for you.
