JOSIE'S POEMS

SPRING IS HERE AGAIN
By Josie Whitehead
The sun’s warm rays touch Mother Earth;
The clouds send down their rain;
And plants burst through the moistened soil;
Spring is here again.
Birds are dashing here and there
And so it’s very plain
That when a million nests are built
Spring is here again.
New buds burst forth upon the trees;
The farmers plant their grain
And, thanks to sun and gentle rain,
Spring is here again.
We humans smile much more in spring
And lose our aches and pains.
We've every reason to be glad . . . for . .
Spring is here again.
