Spring Buds

SPRING'S AROUND
THE CORNER

By Josie Whitehead

Spring's Around the Corner

The winter winds have ceased to bite;

We’ve now more day and much less night;

The sky is clear, the sun is bright,

     For Spring’s around the corner.

Flowers push up around our feet

And birds think life’s becoming sweet.

Look - smiles from people in the street,

     For Spring’s around the corner.

Green leaves open on the trees

And, look!  The first of many bees;

With all that’s happening, you’ll agree

      That Spring has now arrived!
