SYDNEY SLEEP

By Josie Whitehead

Sydney Sleep

Sydney Sleep is such a creep,

Put him in a flock of sheep.

    Let him learn to baa and bleat.

    Give him tasty grass to eat.

Give him wool instead of hair

And also horns - a curly pair;

       Four short legs instead of two - -

       And - - -  turn him into Irish stew!

NOTE:  A creep?   Oh, a very unpleasant, obnoxious person.  I'm sure you're not one of those types, are you?

And:  Irish stew?  Irish stew is a traditional Irish dish made from lamb or mutton as well as potatoes, onions and parsley.  It originated in Ireland but appears in cookbooks all over Europe.   Irish stew is a filling and very tasty dish made with the most readily-available ingredients.  It is slowly cooked, as a casserole, in the oven, and wonderful, especially on a cold winter's day.
