Moonlit Night

TWINKLE TWINKLE

SILVERY MOON

By Josie Whitehead

Twinkle Twinkle Silvery Moon

Twinkle twinkle silvery moon
Why don’t you show your face at noon?
Are you in a distant place,
       Fully vanished without trace?

Twinkle twinkle – where’ve you gone?
By the sun, you’ve been outshone.
The truth is that you’re always there
But hidden by the sun’s bright glare.

When the earth turns from the sun
You become the number one.
You send our world your gentle light
That brightly sparkles through the night.
