WHEN YOU KNOW IT'S HALLOWEEN

When You Know It's Halloween

The moon's beams start to light our earth,
      And petals close on flowers.
The creatures of the day seek sleep.
       Owls leave their belfry towers.

The ghosts now dance the dance of death
       In shadows 'neath the moon.
The gravestones shake, the bats fly round
      And witches sway and croon.

The leafless trees point to the stars.
       It’s such a spooky scene,
Which really won't surprise those folk
       Who know it’s Halloween.
