WILL THEY CHOOSE YOU
AS A FRIEND?

By Josie Whitehead

Will They Choose You?

Who cares what shoes are on your feet

Or the type of clothes you wear?

People won’t remember these

Or how you do your hair.

It’s not important what you did

In the middle of last week,

Or if you’re in a football team –

     Or even how you speak.

Friends remember who you are

By the kindness that you’ve shown.

And friends are not the only ones,

They’re far from on their own.

Others will observe quite well

     The person that you are,

And they’re not wanting you to be

     Some kind of superstar.

What do we look for in our friends?

Come, tell me now your views.

What special things do you look for

In the friends you like to choose?
