EAT A SNAKE IN A CAKE?

By Josie Whitehead

Eat a Snake in a Cake?

Eat a snake in a cake?  No, I don’t think I will.

Kiss a poisonous spider?  No, some spiders kill.

Clean a crocodile’s teeth?  No, I’ll give that a pass.

Play a trumpet perhaps?  No, I’m not into brass.

Fly with the fairies?  I haven’t got wings - - -

And not only that, I'm too old for such things.

Fly to the moon?  No, I'm not up  to that.

Tea with the King?  Well, I'd need a new hat.

Jump out of a plane?  No, I’ll never do this.

Swim with some sharks?  No, I’ll give that a miss.

Write a poem for you?  Is that what you say?

That’s more in my line and here's one straight away.
