A HOUSE IS A HOME FOR ME

By Josie Whitehead

House is a Home for Me (A)

A tiny bee lives in a hive;
     A bird sits in a tree.
A horse enjoys his stable home,
     But their home's not home for me.

A cow loves being in a field;
     A fish swims in the sea.
A mouse likes hiding in its hole,
     But a house is a home for me.

A worm lives deep down in the ground
      But not a bumble bee -
The Arctic's where the penguins live.
     But you know where you'll find me!

Follow Up:  Write down a list of names of creatures who share our world with us, and by the side, write down the names for their homes.  In a group, share your list with the others and add to it any others which perhaps you didn't know.  Josie
