Drum Band

L O U D L Y

By Josie Whitehead

Loudly

Loudly drums beat in the street;
Loudly tap shoes dance on feet.
     Loudly trains roar down their track
     And loudly now the ducks all quack.

Loudly mowers sweep the lawn;
Loudly sing the birds at dawn.
     Loudly noise blares from a house - - -
     Some things are quiet -shh -

                                         just like a mouse.

Loudly folk talk when together;
Loudly roars that stormy weather.
     Loudly rough winds strongly blow
     And loudly I say: "I must go."
