SEASONS AND WEATHER POEMS

ONE MILLION FEET

By Josie Whitehead

One Million Feet

One million feet are pattering
    Upon my window pane.
One million drops are chattering:
'Look out!  Here comes the rain!'

One million feet come clattering
On dark streets, cold and bare.
One million drops are splattering
    You, me and everywhere.

One million feet are scattering
     One million drops of rain.
One million raindrops offering
      Life to the world again.

This was one of my early poems but it was included, with many others, in my book: 'Josie's Poems - NATURE POEMS' which was published in 2010 by AMS Educational Ltd, Leeds.  Children and teachers across my region of West Yorkshire chose it.  I hope you like it also.  Josie
