A cheeky bluebottle teased a frog.

     It really was quite sad.

He buzzed around the poor frog’s head

     And tried to drive him mad.

 

Another bluebottle laughed at him:

     'He isn’t real,' he said.

'He’s just an ornamental frog.

      Try that other one instead.'

 

The other frog sat oh so still.

     You’d think that he was dead.

The stupid bluebottle looked at him:

     'Yes, I’ll tease him instead.'

 

He tootled off across the pond:

     'I’m quite sure he's not real!' 

A long tongue quickly shot at him

      And he became frog's meal.
