Have you met that itchy itch
     That will not go away?
It drives you mad.  It niggles you
     And bothers you all day.

And does this itch embarrass you
     Because of  where it lands?
No, it seldom lands upon your leg
     And neither on your hands.

​

That itchy itch will drive you mad
     And make you want to screech
Because, of course, it targets you
     In places hard to reach.

​

We humans try to keep our cool.
     We’ve learned where not to scratch
But HELP, what can a poor soul do
     When there’s an itch to catch?

​

Go find yourself a quiet place 
       Away from humankind –
And scratch away with all your might.
       That’s good advice you’ll find.

​
