"Toffee’s not good for you,"

      Granny would say.

"You leave it alone now

      And go out to play."​

"It’s bad for you teeth;

      Not good for your hair!" -

"But Granny, I like it.  

     That’s not really fair!"​

​

"It will stick in your throat;

     Wind itself round your heart.

It will coil round your liver

     And that’s just the start."

​

So the toffee was kept

      Up on Granny’s top shelf.

Now Gran’s lost all her teeth,

     So did she eat it herself?
