    And they think that he was YOU.

 

We saw it on the tele

     So it surely must be true:

A girl climbed up the North Pole –

    And they think that she was YOU.

 

We saw it on the tele

     So it surely must be true:

A woman wrote a thousand poems

     And they think that it was YOU

                                               - - - no, ME!

We saw it on the tele

     So it surely must be true:

A woman was jailed for telling lies.

    And it’s me, of course, NOT YOU!
