Words are messengers, for sure.

 Once said, they’ll open up a door

      Which lead them to another’s ears,

       Where they may rest for many years.

 

Some messengers can carry lies,

Or words that others may despise,

      Whilst those of love will bring delight

      And make the day ahead seem bright.

 

There are - - - -

 

Words that teach with information,

 And other words that cause frustration.

       Disputes resolved by arbitration

       And casual words of conversation.

 

Words can travel – yes, you bet!

Via TV, phone and internet . . . . B U T . . .

     You’ll not be brought to mind when dead

     By what you’ve worn, but what you’ve said.
