A monster ate our Granny up

And drank some beer from Granny’s cup.
      We cried, we trembled and we shook
      And looked for reasons in a book.

We told the Police and doctors too,
But they all said: 'What can we do?'
     And whilst our family were perplexed,
     The monster pounced on Granddad next.

​

Of course the family were distraught,
But there was something that we thought:
     'Why eat old people like those two
       Instead of sweet young ones like you?'

​
