The sun brings light and warmth by day.

The moon throws down her gentler rays.

     Good rain brings water which we need

     To wash, to drink and grow our seeds.

The clothes we wear; shoes for our feet.

The kindly words from folk we meet;

     Animals and birds who sing;

     Lovely flowers that come each spring.
