WHAT DO DRAGONS EAT?

By Josie Whitehead

Lesson PlanHERE

What Do Dragons Eat.

?

‘Tell me, Mr Dragon please.

     What do dragons eat?’

‘Well dragons eat all kinds of things

But they very much like meat.

‘A tasty roasted joint tastes good

And they also like some stew,

But, perhaps I shouldn’t tell you this,

But they most like kids like you.

‘They’re really not too keen on girls.

For they find them rather sweet,

But nice plump boys, cooked carefully,

     Are a dragon’s favourite treat.

‘One ate my Aunty Kathleen once,

But he found her rather tough,

When he was offered more he said:

     ‘No thanks. That’s quite enough!’

‘Can children all keep secrets?

Well, here’s one you should keep.

Teachers are their favourite dish.

They steal them whilst they sleep.

                           (Oooh!)

‘Oh come now children.  Dry your eyes.

You know this poem’s not true:

For dragons wouldn’t ever eat

        Nice children just like you.’
