THE  FRIENDLY LESSON

By Josie Whitehead
Friendly Lesson (The)

A fairy went down to her classroom,

Disguised as a teacher, for sure,

And she quietly looked in at chaos,

And then silently went through the door.

Nobody saw that she’d entered,

And so she had time to look round.

A battle was reigning supremely

With one poor boy pinned to the ground.

A bully was inflicting torment,

And a crowd were all gathered around.

The noise in that classroom was shocking

With the poor teacher’s voice being drowned.

This fairy then placed on the table

A wand she’d removed from her case.

As she lifted her wand from the table

A smile quickly came to her face.

This tool was indeed something special –

A magical wand, that’s for sure,

For when the sweet fairy waved quickly,

The evil soon left through the door.

The fighting then stopped in an instance,

And peace reigned with both girls and boys,

And quietly they went to their places

In a classroom quite free from that noise.

Now good news for teachers who’re reading:

These wands are for certain for sale,

So forward this poet your money,

And you’ll get magic wands in your mail.
