After Noah and his family

     Sent the animals away,

They had another thing to do

     Upon this sunny day.

 

What do you think they had to do?

 

They crafted a fine altar

     Just as quickly as they could.

And they made it very carefully

     And used the finest wood.

 

The family gave their thanks to God

     For all that he had done.

He’d saved them from the floodwater

     And sent again the sun.

 

They thanked Him for his rainbow arch

     And for his promise too.

Now God hopes we’ll care for His world -

     Especially me and you.
